Could not post a new entry last night due to lack of functioning wifi.
Left Joplin Missouri on flat terrain and stopped for a break at (another) Route 66 Museum. Fears allayed as a signpost revealed 'THE WAY TO AMARILLO' - phew !
Weather cleared as we approached the Texas State line where we stopped for a pose.
Another break - this time to inspect a lovingly preserved Conoco petrol station.
Operator - give me Guildford 888666 !
A local biker on a vintage 'Indian' motorbike came to say hello.
After checking into our hotel we went to the local Steak House for - well a steak...
.... dressed in appropriate apparel (including boots !)
